The flop-houses of the past have decomposed, leaving fertile real estate for co-ops and newly renovated apartments for tech workers, with the charm of Spanish-speaking fruit and taco vendors sprinkled on every corner.

And in the dirty back alleys of the Mission, there is radianting street art that will make you smile.
